Austin grew up in Calgary, Alberta, but moved to Edmonton in 2016 to attend Vanguard College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. He joined the Heartland team in 2018 as the High School Event Coordinator. After a year back in Calgary, he returned in 2020 to lead the Campus Ministries department at Refuge, our student ministries at Heartland. In 2021, he took on the role of leading young adults and became the pastor in 2022! Most importantly, Austin is married to his wife Brittany, and together they lead the amazing Heartland Young Adults community.

Austin enjoys watching, playing, and coaching sports, as well as playing and listening to music. His favorite sports teams are the Edmonton Oilers and the Phoenix Suns. He loves spending time with friends, family and his puppy Zeke. What he enjoys most about his job is connecting with youth and young adults. He’s always ready to grab a coffee and chat about whatever is on your mind!
