Weddings

At Heartland Alliance Church we are convinced that our role is not only to assist in planning a wedding but to prepare a couple for a lifetime together.  This key truth impacts many aspects of our pre-marriage preparation process.  Our pastors are fully committed to honouring God by doing their part in building those marriages.

Couples seeking to be married at Heartland, or by Heartland staff, must contact the church at least six months prior to any proposed wedding dates and be regular weekly attendees of Heartland during those months.

After an initial consultation with one of our pastors to determine eligibility for a wedding at Heartland, couples enter into a marriage preparation agreement.  For the duration of their engagement and extending into the marriage they then walk with pre-marriage mentors who are committed to their growth as a couple.

For more information about our pre-marriage process, and to take the next step toward a Heartland marriage, please fill out the online Mentoring/Wedding Information Request Form linked below, and our Events Director will be in contact with you.

Marriage Mentoring

Small Groups

It is in the context of community with other couples that we can learn from and be held accountable by those with whom we are connected.  Interacting with other couples who struggle with similar things we can encourage each other and uphold each other in prayer as we walk out the joys and challenges of married life together as a small group.  Small group curriculum for both Life Groups and Connex Groups can include the hot topics of parenting, finances, step-family challenges, communication and sexual intimacy that are not specifically addressed in Marriage workshops.
