Heartland is seeking a person who has excellent interpersonal, technological, and communication skills and demonstrates an ability to successfully engage with staff, congregation members, and members of the Strathcona County community. This position will be part of the main office Administrative Team, with a focus on reception and assigned admin tasks.
The right individual will:
- Be proficient in using Microsoft software - Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, etc.
- Have a familiarity with Planning Center, Canva, and Basecamp platforms (preferred but not required)
- Have a familiarity with commercial office printers
- Be proficient in hard copy and electronic versions of organizational structures (filing paperwork, computer systems, etc.)
- Have strong problem-solving skills
- Be approachable, patient, and have strong communication skills with both staff, congregation, and community members
- Be comfortable with frequent interruptions to their workday
- Have the ability to set priorities and manage their own tasks to ensure timely communication and to meet deadlines
Hours- Approx. 24 hours/week
- 3 full days a week, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm between Monday to Friday, is required (specific days negotiable)
Experience
- Reception: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
