Gate Community Summer - Day 43

Remember the three questions we asked yesterday when  thinking about asking God to heal something in your life.

  1. What do I want God to do for me (spiritually, physically, and emotionally)?
  2. What are my reasons for wanting to be healed? List them in order of importance.
  3. Are there changes God wants me to make that could be hindering my health? Meditate on these scriptures for guidance and clarity?

Let's add another couple passages from God's Word to meditate on...

James 5:14-16

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

1 Peter 3:7

Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

What do hear in these passages about healing?
