At Heartland October 29 - November 3 has been set aside as a Week of Prayer and Fasting. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to unify our hearts and minds in one direction pointed towards our Heavenly Father.
Many have found the Week of Prayer & Fasting to be a very significant experience. Answers are found, spirits renewed, relationships restored, and issues revolved. There is so much that may be waiting for you. Let’s travel this journey together and see what God will do!
There are a number of corporate gatherings during the Week of Prayer and Fasting. These gatherings will be times of celebration, sharing, praying together, and listening to God. Take some time to mark your calendars with the gatherings you will be able to attend.
We encourage you to participate in our corporate fasting time that commences Wednesday morning, November 1 and concludes Friday evening, November 3 at the Night of Prayer. The Night of Prayer features a wonderful meal to close our fast. If you are unable to fast for the three day period, then consider a fast for a different time period... 2 days, 1 day, 1 meal per day or a single meal. For more learning on the discipline of fasting refer to your Week of Prayer and Fasting Journal.
I hope this week will be a valuable experience as you seek God’s guidance. It also offers us a time of unifying our hearts and minds towards seeking God’s guidance as we strive to be followers of Jesus.
You can pick up your Week of Prayer & Fasting Journal after the weekend services starting October 14-15 and at all corporate gatherings.
Prayer stations provide us with the opportunity to spend time meditating on God’s word in an interactive way while in a sanctuary setting. We invite you to come and interact with the prayer stations that have been set up in the West Auditorium during our Week of Prayer and Fasting on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. See the schedule below for exact times. You will find a helpful tool to prepare you and help guide you through the stations in the Week of Prayer and Fasting Journal. Click here to see Prayer Stations Guide. You are encouraged to come and drop-in for whatever period of time you would like to set aside. You may want to come as an individual, family or small group. While the stations are designed to be an individual experience, coming as a group can provide a wonderful debrief after you have taken your individual time with the stations.
