Care Centre Ministry Outreach
As we concluded our September service, it occurred to me that over time there have been more residents of CCS attending our monthly services. It was a moment of pause on my part. A reflection of God’s work in this dwelling for those who are nearing the end of their lives.
It is never too late to find Jesus; there is no age limit. My presence at CCS continuously reminds me that time is precious and that we really do not know how long we have on this earth. This is personified by the realization that many go to be with the Lord on a monthly basis.
James said it best:
"Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." - James 4:14
It also reminds me how rewarding it is to serve by simply being present! A comforting friend; holding their hands or sitting beside them as we sing hymns that they remember fondly from childhood.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cheryl for her amazing worship and the rest of my volunteer friends who make it a priority to commit to this ministry in whatever way they can. You are all a blessing! For those who would like more information, I encourage you to reach out to me or the church office.
We would love to see you there. Bring your kids! While not overly stimulating, the Seniors absolutely love watching children play and interact.
Come as you are...
